The 2026 interest form is OPEN
Who can join North Wave?
Any instrumentalist ages 14-23 can participate in North Wave Winds. All members 18+ and all staff must pass a background check and complete online training with WGI. North Wave Performing Arts is committed to participant safety and positive educational experiences. We uphold the highest standards of honesty, and any form of misconduct, dishonesty, or foul play will not be tolerated.
How much does it cost?
Due to our volunteer staff and gracious donations from various organizations and individuals, we are able to keep membership dues one of the lowest across the state while still providing a top-notch experience. We expect 2026 dues to be approximately $400, but that is largely dependent on how many performers participate to spread the cost. An exact tuition amount will be emailed to participants following auditions.
NWPA hopes to increase accessibility and break barriers to this activity. If cost is an issue, please reach out to matthew@northwaveperformingarts.org to discuss a solution to participate in the ensemble.
What does the time commitment look like?
North Wave Winds rehearses twice weekly in the evenings and one Saturday a month starting in December/January. There will be occasional Friday evening rehearsals before Saturday competitions. We understand that there will inevitably be conflicts. Participants are expected to communicate all absences with the directors and maintain performance readiness at home.
